A New Examination Hall for Isi Okposi Girls Secondary School

The Iveoma Development Network renovated and fully equipped a dedicated examination hall at Isi Okposi Girls Secondary School, a state government institution, handing a public school the facilities its students always deserved. Think about the last time you sat an important exam. Now imagine doing it in a room that was cramped, poorly lit, and visibly neglected — a room that, before you wrote a single word, already told you something about how much the system valued you.

That was the reality for students at Isi Okposi Girls Secondary School. Not because they lacked ability or ambition, but simply because the infrastructure around them had not kept pace with their potential. The Iveoma Development Network saw that, and in 2016/2017, did something about it. The Network renovated and fully equipped a dedicated examination hall at the school, and commissioned it in a ceremony attended by students, staff, and community members.

It was a straightforward act with a profound message: that these girls, in a public school, in a small community in Ebonyi State, are worth investing in. Every girl who walks into that hall to write her exams now does so in a space that was built with her in mind. That is not a small thing.
