The Sir Nwani & Lady Akanele Chuku Learning and Development Centre
At the 5th edition of the Annual Health Walk, the Iveoma Development Network broke ground on its most ambitious youth-facing project to date — a dedicated digital and learning hub for adolescents and young people, named in honour of Sir Nwani and Lady Akanele Chuku.
The Learning and Development Centre is designed around the needs of today's young people, combining digital skills (a dedicated digital skills hub), reading culture (a curated environment designed to cultivate the reading habit), and social development (a gathering space for youth-led programmes) under one roof.
Expected to be commissioned in December 2026, the centre is purpose-built for adolescents and young people, filling a gap that no other facility in the community currently addresses.
"Education is not just about buildings; it is about providing the tools, space, and community where the next generation can shape their own future."
