Building Legacies — The Sir & Lady Nwani Chuku Hall
The Iveoma Development Network delivers on its promise to Holy Rosary Secondary School; dedicating a new assembly hall and consecrating a future for generations of students. In 2021, the Iveoma Development Network (IDN) achieved a landmark milestone in its ongoing commitment to community upliftment; the completion, dedication, and consecration of a brand-new assembly hall at Holy Rosary Secondary School, proudly named the Sir & Lady Nwani Chuku Hall in honour of a family whose generosity made it all possible.
For years, Holy Rosary Secondary School had operated without an adequate central hall, a gathering space where students could assemble, celebrate achievements, host debates, and forge the communal bonds that make school life meaningful beyond the classroom. The IDN, driven by a mandate to invest in the foundational infrastructure of Iveoma communities, identified this gap and responded decisively.
The hall was formally consecrated by Bishop Emeritus Michael Okoro, in a ceremony attended by students, staff, community leaders, and well-wishers. The blessing transformed the building from infrastructure into a living symbol of faith, sacrifice, and collective ambition, a place made holy not just by prayer but by the intent to educate.
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world and a worthy hall is where that power begins to gather."
